Michael David has lived in Southwest Florida for nearly 30 years. Many fondly remember him from the 15 years
he worked in hospitality, as owner of the charter sailing operation at South Seas Plantation on Captiva
Island. As a longtime business owner, he understands the importance of commitments, and never misses an
appointment or gig.
Michael David is available to play solo gigs on guitar (and prides himself on
using no backing tracks); upright or electric bass as part of a group; and as a
solo act on congas and bongos (an exciting party or special event option).

He has always been influenced by jazz,
particuarly straight-ahead jazz, and when sitting in on local jam sessions, receives kudos for his work on the upright
bass, from the many retired professional musicians who call southwest Florida home. |
Now a resident of south Fort Myers,
Michael David plays gigs from North Fort Myers to Naples, Sanibel to Buckingham. A versatile musician, he is
well versed in jazz standards, pop hits, R&B, easy listening, folk, country, blues and Latin music. His solo act,
"Forgotten Favorites" is particularly appealing to Baby Boomers, who will easily recognize hits from
the 1960s -1990s.
